Frisson

Frisson was commissioned by the Clibber Jones Ensemble in 2014. The ensemble commissioned 9 composers to compose pieces requesting each composer write no more than a 7 minute piece for all members of the ensemble. the composer had the pleasure of sitting in with the Clibber Jones Ensemble in 2013 and always looks back on the performance as a happy and fun experience. The word frisson means a thrill or brief moment of emotional excitement. The composer felt it only fitting to give the name to a piece written for such an amazing and talented group of people.

Percussion needs: suspended cymbal, flexatone, shaker, and triangle

Drumset needs: snare, ride cymbal, suspended cymbal, kick drum, cowbell, 2 toms, and sleigh bells.
