Whitsun was commissioned by clarinetist Helen Saile for Brad Hughley and the 10th Anniversary of the Rosales Organ at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, Atlanta, Georgia.
Dedicated to Martha Robert with love for her years of faithful and dedicated service to the choirs of St. Bartholomew's.
The chant "Veni Creator Spiritus" can be found throughout the piece. Piece is intended to be premiered at Pentacost service.
